Responsible for managing the operational aspects for the Grants & Contract Management Office. Serves as a voting member on institutional compliance committees. Develops and maintains the policies and procedures for daily operations. Evaluates and challenges existing processes and makes recommendations for improvements and efficiencies. Maximizes use and operational efficiency of institutional electronic research administration systems. Develops and provides training to Grant and Contract Management Office staff. Provides support as needed for information requests during internal and external audits. Provides support as needed in regard to maintaining compliance with Uniform Guidance and continual implementation of the federal guidelines at St. Jude. Plans for, manages and supervises staff within the Grant and Contract Management office. Provides operational and back up support for Director. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution.
Master's Degree in business, public or hospital administration, accounting or basic sciences required.
JD or PHD is preferred.
Six (6) years of experience in legal/contractual, financial, scientific, or administrative management field required that includes four (4) years of directly related experience in grant and contract administration and three (3) years of management experience.
